En Why See!

Ahhh it has been far too long!! As always thanks to Deborah and her ever constant reminders to blog, I definitely need a shove to get back into it! I have so many new postcards since my last blog, and not enough time to count them. I'm not sure how many postcards I have amassed, but it's a lot more than last time! This week I will make the time to re-count. Keep an eye out for some awesome catch up blogging that is obviously needed!

So what to blog first? Good question! I don't even know where to start.

Okay, so I have decided to blog something really recent! My mum recently went to New York for her work and brought me back some postcards!

The next 5, also from NYC, are designed by local graphic artists promoting "The High Line" - a public park build on an elevated 1930s freight rail structure in Manhattan!

At the ball...

My friend Angela gave these to me a few months ago from her visit to hong kong. They are advertisements for the Langham hotel there. They are so beautiful

Here is a link to the Langham's facebook page where you can see the images a bit more clearly. They are soo beautiful! :)

love in a box

A couple of weeks ago mum bought me this set of 52 mini postcards from Typo. They are so adorable!! There are 2 other sets, one of Paris and one of Ferris Wheels that I really want to get! Maybe I will ask for them for my birthday...

I love them all, so of course you had to see all of them!

Penguin!

I know its been awhile, but I am starting to get back into a routine that allows me to blog much more frequently. That and I found my camera!

So here is the post I promised months ago, all the way back around Christmas time. I recieved a box of 100 penguin book cover postcards! There were so many cool/random/awesome ones that I decided to just mix them up and post 2 big photos of them! Here they are:

Part A
Part B

I was slightly disappointed that there were no Pride and Prejudice covers, but despite that, this was a pretty awesome gift

Expect the next post in a few days

P.S I still haven't counted my postcards, I only just clean up what was near my bed, and I'm yet to completely clean my room, so I am waiting until it is clean so I can do a full postcard recount! I'll take photos and such, cause its always really exciting. Last time I recounted them I discovered I have 1999!! But by now I probably have A LOT more than that!

P.P.S. A HUGE thanks to Deb, who has been hassling me as always to get myself organised! I'm glad to I know at least one person reads my blog :P

harry potter harry potter harry potter DUMBLEDORE!!

So I got these awesome postcards for christmas, as I mentioned in the last post.. and they are based on the 6th Harry Potter film (the half blood prince). Here are my faves:

Arent they cool?? Even if you aren't a Harry Potter fan, the editing on the images gives them a sort of vintage-esque look which gives them some appeal.

Merry Christmas!!

Okay...a bit late... I know, but I am back!! I cant believe it has been so long since my last blog! The Higher School Certificate (aka my end of year exams) meant that blogging had to be put on hold, collecting postcards of course was not and I have heaps of new ones in my collection.

After a recount 2 weeks ago I discovered I had 1999 - since Christmas however I have surpassed that thanks to two presents. The first - which was my "santa present" (aka the best, usually most exciting present), was something I've been wanting for a while:
100 postcards!!!
I was so excited when I saw it!! I will post some of my absolute favorites in the next week or so.

Also to come are the best of these:
OMG HARRY POTTER!!
So yes, lots of exciting things to come - well in my opinion anyway, thanks for being patient!
Also a special thanks to deb who has pestered me continuously since the end of the HSC to blog!

holiday joys

Just two postcards this time round.
This first one is from my sister, Emma, who is obsessed with the Australian jewellery company 'Dinosaur Designs' who do have some amazing peices.
This postcard is for a sale, but the mash of all the photos just shows what amazing work they do.
1. Dinosaur Designs: Check it out here.

This next one my mum picked up for me at an artists market. I love the tree! It so detailed and looks so delicate despite a sturdy looking trunk.
2. Planet Boab - an australian company that designs and makes t-shirts. Check them out here. There are some really cute designs

Back to studying I go!
